NPMA-33 Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Inspection Guide

The National Pest Management Association Form NPMA-33 is the universal statutory disclosure for residential real estate transactions involving FHA, VA, or conventional mortgage underwriting.
An NPMA-33 inspection evaluates all accessible structural timber, foundation sill plates, subfloors, and attic framing for evidence of subterranean termites, drywood termites, dampwood termites, carpenter ants, and wood-infesting beetles.
If active infestation is discovered, Section IV requires licensed chemical treatment and structural retreatment verification before loan underwriting can proceed to closing.
